The humble beginning of the school started in “Jija Mata Regimental School” on 19th March 1982 under the aegis of The MARATHA LIRC. Over the years, the institution has undergone significant transformation. Upon its affiliation to the Karnataka State Education Board (KSEB) in 2016, it was renamed “Army Pre Primary School.”
This was later upgraded to “Army Primary School, The MARATHA LIRC,” and finally, on 19th April 2024, the school proudly adopted its current name, “Army Public School, The MARATHA LIRC, Belagavi.” Carrying forward the legacy and driven by the vision to expand the school and provide the best facilities for army wards, Chairman Brigadier Joydip Mukherjee initiated the process of CBSE affiliation and brought the school under the esteemed Army Welfare Education Society (AWES).
Nestled in the scenic camp area of The MARATHA LIRC, Belagavi, the school campus is surrounded by majestic, leafy trees, creating a serene and inspiring learning atmosphere. The school stands as a precious gem embraced by nature’s beauty and tranquility.

Its dedicated and passionate faculty deliver quality education through innovative teaching and individual mentoring. With a wide array of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, the school nurtures leadership, ethical citizenship, and self-confidence.
